The Miracle League of Southwestern Pennsylvania (MLSWPA) was formed in January 2007, the MLSWPA is dedicated to providing the opportunity for children with physical and mental disabilities to play organized baseball.
In addition to organizing a league for special needs children of all ages, the MLSWPA is also committed to building a facility that meets the unique needs of this special group of children. Affiliated with the national Miracle League Baseball organization, the MLSWPA has reached an agreement with Cranberry Township to integrate a Miracle League field into the baseball complex that the Township is developing in the new Graham Park. As part of the agreement, Cranberry will provide land for the field while CTAA will administer the baseball/softball program on a day-to-day basis once construction of the field is completed in the spring of 2009. Construction costs for the Miracle League Field will be paid for through corporate and private donations raised by The Miracle League of Southwestern PA.
Currently, the MLSWPA is focused on raising the funds necessary to construct the specially designed field. The field will have everything other baseball fields have, including handicapped accessible dugouts, restrooms, concession stands in an enclosed area.
The Miracle League of Southwestern PA is preparing for its first Opening Day on May 2, 2009. We will be updating information on registration, volunteering, and league structure periodically. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact:
